Dear Don; You make a lot of interesting points to which am not ashamed to admit I do not have all of the answers. I will respect your decision to keep our dialogue public but I feel ill equipped to deal with some of what you say. For this reason our discussion will probably be limited compared to what we could do privately. Perhaps the Lord will help me to find a balance. You have at least given me many things to study further. I do have one more question for you. In reading the Hebrew Scriptures I have noticed in Isaiah 44:6 the following; Isa 44:6 Thus saith the LORD the King of Israel, and his redeemer the LORD of hosts; I [am] the first, and I [am] the last; and beside me [there is] no God. The Hebrew lexicon tells me that the term YHWH is applied to both the "Jehovah the King of Israel, and his redeemer the Jehovah of hosts;" Here is a link to a web based lexicon: khouse.org Perhaps you could help me to understand who is Jehovah the King, the redeemer Jehovah of hosts and who is the "I am the first, and I am the last;" in this passage.
