..."but I can't help wondering about the same people who post similar opinion day after day. Do they ever sell. Will anything impact their rosy outlook, even as the stock tanks, and history repeats itself. ..."
Perhaps several of us recognize that ATM and NN are winners.
Selling now would be foolhardy, just as ATM is being adopted by the major carriers. By all means, if you believe that NN is such a lousy investment, Sell, Short, sell naked Calls or buy Puts, whatever your preference may be. We need some bears for NN to continue its climb. After all, if everyone was bullish there'd be nobody left to buy. ;-)
Besides NN is cheap.
CSCO NN P/E 82.7 59 Price to Book 20.8 5.1 Price to Cash Flow 71.5 32.6 Price to Sales 17.26 5.55 BETA 1.79 1.58
CSCO is:
more volatile;
more than 3* as expensive based on Sales;
More than 2* as expensive based on Cash Flow;
More than 4* as expensive based on Book;
And NN's earnings can be expected to grow more rapidly than CSCO's.
So whine all you want. Some will sell NN well before NN's earnings from ATM come anywhere close to their peak. Some will hold long after their peak. The trick to maximizing profits, IMO, is to hold until well into the rollout of ATM, not sell just as it's beginning to be generally accepted.
