PK,
Oh that post was mother beautiful!!!! Thanks for providing me my daily ration of hilarity.
So we're bombing Serbia as a display of what our military forces can do to an opponent?? I thought we proved that quite well during Persian Excursion Part 1. Why do we need to prove it again?
And the CFR is pulling America's puppet strings and making us bomb Serbia as a ploy to weaken our international prestige?? Heck, the current administration is doing that all be its lonesome self. And it's Europe that is feeling uncomfortable about the bombing and the US that is forced to maintain solidarity.
And the end game is the Caspian Oilfields?? Well, we certainly don't need to bomb Serbia to achieve that. Azerbijian, headed by a former KGB muckety-muck, is quite content to cozy up with NATO on its own because they know the Russians have nothing to offer them, nor the engineering means necessary to exploit those oil resources.
Yes, Russia is feeling isolated. But it is feeling this way because they have squandered the opportunity of a lifetime. They permitted corruption, cronyism, and organized crime to take over their country, instead of using the momentum achieved by Yeltsin's first years to reshape and make that gov't accountable.
Well anyway, I guess hindsight is 20/20.
