M--- Welcome aboard! As I have said before, I believe that government is more analogous to a machine, one that is cumbersome and should be used with care, but one that can be useful for various purposes. And I believe that government makes decisions which affect the culture, mediating institutions ( such as churches and colleges), and families in ways that can either help or hinder the promotion of responsible behavior,and that it should factor in that impact when making decisions.
