I learned the same lesson you are learning, but AAFG is about the ugliest of Jeff Bruss's hypes I've ever seen. NLMC was almost as bad. Search my posts on some of his picks, and I think you'll see what I believe I've uncovered.

I suggest you file an SEC Enforcement Complaint against the company and Bruss. There is little doubt in my mind that what you are experiencing is the grossest form of market manipulation that exists.
