With all due respect Tae, CPQ is due a change in leadership. EP and team did a sterling job growing the company but has been unable to change the strategic direction.

A strategic change is absolutely necessary to continue moving forward and to increase revenue.

Just look at shrinking margins in the PC business as one small example... Profit has to come from somewhere, so change the nature of the business to a more service revenue oriented model. EP and team recognised this but were unable to execute for various reasons which have been covered ad nauseum on this thread.

I think a shake up of the leadership is EXACTLY what we need now and view it as extremely positive.

In addition, in an earlier post, you referred to CPQ "trying to catch up to Dell". The two companies are completely different! So the catch up point is totally moot. Have a close look at the new distribution model announced on Monday. It is NOT a direct model...

I think Rosen et al are setting the scene for a strategically changed CPQ. They are experienced and will know how to set this company up for sustained long term growth. Having said that, I also think that we will see continued volatility in the share for a while. Short term traders heaven!
