It's official: Lycos deal called off. dailynews.yahoo.com Lycos, USA, Ticketmaster Call Off Merger NEW YORK (Reuters) - Lycos Inc. (Nasdaq:LCOS - news), USA Networks Inc. (Nasdaq:USAI - news) and Ticketmaster Online-CitySearch Inc. confirmed Wednesday they had called off their complex merger, but had agreed to remain business partners. The deal's end, in the face of stiff Lycos shareholder opposition, requires Lycos to pay USA Networks' Interactive unit and Ticketmaster Online $35 million if the Internet media network agrees to another acquisition deal before July 15.
