The hardware specs will change rapidly, but a low end machine used to be sub $1000. Now they are going sub $700 or even $600. I know two people who have purchased E-machines and both were replaced within a month as being unusable. I don't know what Officemax conciders a low end machine, but there is still lots of demand for quality, high performance computers.
