Hi Clint,

Has the eximer laser surgery field dealt with the long term liability issues. I remember someone telling me about a medical device lecture, where the speaker was talking about the lack of standards for measuring the results for the surgery. 20/20 vision in an eye examine do not necessarily translate into perfect vision from a practical perspective. Prepherial distortion can still be present which can affect your ability to see on a practical level. In the early days I saw some results that suggest that up to 50 percent of patient were having some form of bad after surgery affects. The long term effects of scaring the eyes lenses is still not know yet either I beleive too. Funny I know one or two people who have done this and they still need glasses for certain tasks.

It should not matter short term as this area seems to be trendy right now. It's a little like breast implants from a few years ago.
