getting CPQ's act together
I agree CPQ has to do something, and the current moves may well be the right thing. I just maintain it is going to be a difficult change for the company. All of those customers who used the 36 distributors which are to be dropped are going to need to decide on a new relationship. What advice do you think their current distributor is going to give them? The 4 remaining distributors are going to need to learn how to operate in co-location mode. The service side appears to be undergoing a big change in management and style. That's a lot of balls to juggle. I wouldn't consider new investment until I had an idea if they can keep them all in the air.
