This is in response to both Jeeza and Gordon:

I've pretty much told you what I know at this point and like I said it was 6 years ago, but here goes. I have no clue on # of employees, but Ed would probably tell you over the phone. I'm sure that both products will be made at the same place, which as far as I know is their only site. This is not a very technically complicated process to make these kits, it is essentially a specially treated paper in a plastic carrier with some juice to chromatograph the blood drop you apply up the paper. The trickiest part as I recall is the QC where you are calibrating the individual lot as to how much color means what level, as there (at least used to be) lot to lot variance. While this tester design is patented, I have no idea of the strength of these patents, but wouldn't be surprised if they can be worked around, as most patents can be. I know nothing about the competing products, how well the management is known, etc. My guess is that because CMTR has been among the "walking dead" (a venture capital term meaning: with trivial/declining revenues and a low stock price that never met expectations) for so many years that they have been pretty much ignored by the main stream biotech/med community as a scary reminder of what can happen - thus I think this helps keep them undervalued. And, since they haven't had a lot of cash to burn on high buck consultants and bottom feeders, they probably are ignored by these types too. I'll consider taking a tour, but my general view of touring investors (having been on the receiving end enough times) is that they are a distraction to the company doing what they should be doing ie.) making and developing products. I'll certainly attend the shareholder meeting.

An earlier post said that CMTR will be packaging and distributing the ColoCare product. Since this is essentially treated paper similar to the guts of the other testers, does anyone know if CMTR will ultimately manufacture the paper themselves? Or will they only be getting it bulk from Helena and just packaging it? The more pieces they ultimately get the bigger their piece of the pie. A mfg change like this would require FDA involvement of course.

As far as when this stock was in the high 20's, it was many years ago predating the 5 year charts I've found. I think it was around '91-92 time frame. As I recall the bubble burst when they had to recall the Cholestrak product for QC problems (a good lesson for them I'm sure). Jeeza, I called my mom to see if she has the dates in her notes and I'll dig through my old files to see what I might have. Anybody know a site with stock price charts that go back farther than 5 years?
