From the 10-Q: Iomega Buying Certain SyQuest Malaysia Assets for about $3 Million.

Thanks for posting that. It looks like they finally put a price on the Malaysian assets to be purchased by Iomega. Two thoughts though:

1. Wasn't it announced that the real price Iomega paid for the Syquest U.S. assets $9.1 million rather than $9.5 million?

2. I take it that the purchase price of the Malaysian assets will not be considered a "special charge" against earnings because those assets have value, hopefully at least equal to the purchase price....therefore making the whole transaction more of an acquisition in nature.
