Cascade reaffirms position as frame relay switch vendor to Internet service providers
WESTFORD, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 24, 1997--Cascade Communications Corp. (NASDAQ:CSCC) today announced that EarthLink Network and Voyager Networks, two Internet Service Providers (ISPs), have selected its B-STDX 9000 Frame Relay multiservice switches and CascadeView Network Management System for their performance-optimized Internet backbones. The scalability and port density features of the B-STDX 9000 switches will allow these ISPs to provide Internet access and data distribution services to their customers.

Voyager Networks is a full service provider of integrated voice and data communications. Specializing in managed metropolitan Frame Relay for the financial community, Voyager offers comprehensive Internet services which include web hosting, high-speed Internet access, and network utilization reporting. Currently, Voyager has two network nodes in New York City, with plans to install nodes in London, Chicago, Los Angeles, and Washington, DC, in 1997.
