Ballard Power and the Flight to Quality gg_cox states: "Imagine driving your fuel cell car to your camp in the bush and plugging her in for clean "QUITE" power.... WOW!!!" It's nice to think that when we go camping in the future we may have a quiet camp instead of stinking, noisy gasoline generators running everywhere and degrading the experience. What is this kind of quality worth? But this is a minor issue compared to an established paradigm of supplemental home and workplace energy from fuel cell vehicles. This represents a decentralization of the energy infrastructure that will result in cleaner, more reliable and efficient power. What is this kind of quality worth? Investment in general is undergoing a flight to quality. When the current enthusiasm in vastly overvalued stocks (i.e., internet) evaporates, I will not be surprised to see the money flow into serious high technology systems strong in new engineering products that take us up a level in quality. IMO, I do not consider the market cap of Ballard to be excessive when viewed in terms of its future potential. -- Rickmas
