Wbendus, The more prudent would take the approach that if sales for Fore are slow in Japan, the same maybe true for MRV, and others for that case. In fact, I don't think they were the first to publicaly state sluggishness or softness in the Japanesse market. In addition, currency fluctuations will not be indicative only to Fore either. Both these constraints will effect all companies doing business in this market and may just be another factor hanging over technology stocks as a whole. From what I understand about the two companies, they generally compete technologicaly, and not directly with products. Therefore in a market the size of Japan, it is doubtful in my opinion, that either company can materially effect the others business. Kindly correct me if I'm mistaken. I have covered long position in both companies. Best of Luck, Roy
