thats one of my questions Jan, when to go. You need to visit St. Petersburg and Moscow and they are pretty far apart geographically so I suspect spring is the best time (which I missed) and then maybe a month in the fall but before I see a travel agent I'm just trying to get info. I may have to wait until next year which would be ok.
