FWIW, from Yahoo thread, assertion of sale of handset div. to Siemens, spin-off of Omnitracs, management changes, etc. Follow-on to posts given by mp this week.

<Siemens deal for Handset Division
by: siemens4QC 20026 of 20033

Done deal as of last Thursday. QC got great price.

Includes QPE.

Ericsson was bidder but backed out.

OmniTracs next.

ASICs and Digital Cinema to remain.

IJacobs to move to soon-to-be-formed separate Omni entity. Chairman Emeritus.

PJacobs to take over remaining QC.

All other high-level family members to move up, including maids and family pets.

All GREAT news for shareholders. Not necessarily for employees, though.

As before - news leaked out 2 weeks ago, but management busy planning trips to Bahamas via priceline.com

QC would never be able to turn profit for commodity-like phone items, in same way big mfrs can like Nokia ,etc.

Siemens it is.

from public computer at Zip Postal in Escondido

Good luck to all!
