2,000 years ago the idea that a person could speak words in Egypt and they would be heard simultaneously in Britain would have been treated exactly the same way as you treat the possibility that 2+2 may be 3. To us, of course, it's routine. And that's just within the human species. We can only conceive of things that our brains are wired to conceive of.
