Frank, What investment style you should go for depends on
number of factors. One of the factors depends on the
individual's character and the type of ability he has.
Some people are good at short term trading(they usually
have very solid chart reading skills and quick reflex on price
actions, etc.). Some people are good at long term investing(they
are better able to study the stock's fundamentals, and more
patient to wait for the price to appreciate). Some people are
good at both, some may be good at neither approach. A investor
should watch himself and study his own investing/trading
history and find out about which approach to go for. IMHO.
