I agree. The Internet should evolve into a place to keep tract of calendar information and gathering information about gift preferences offers value to the customer. But this capability is generic and is not worth $200 or $400 million worth of stock, IMO. Amazon needed to implement this, and still needs to make better use of it, but they could have hired a team to build it in-house. Maybe Bezos needs to contract software development in India or Russia where there are still pools of highly trained software developers available. Pay me ten million and I'd have a team put together in two weeks!
