David, my thoughts on a COMS merger are at: #reply-9173511. You might also read the 3 responses. I feel that *eventually* 3COM will have to merge. That day, however, may be days or years away. Benhamou seems set on keeping his job rather than attending to the shareholder's interests. Eventually the stock will advance, with or without a merger. The 100 day expansion of the 'Net, Internet2, voice and video, eCommerce, etc. all dictate a higher stock price as soon as "a certain knucklehead" gets his costs in line. Glad to hear you are enjoying your Cable Modem. I may go that route myself next fall when I return to FL. o~~~ O
