Fuel Cell Longevity, I stand by my previous statements. They are not based upon early prototype engines, but projections of refined examples of evolving technology. "Tuttleman" has a standard method of finding or inventing performance numbers from prototypes and forecasting the cost of future infrastructure from those numbers. I do not do that. I examine trends. If PEM fuel cells are fed pure hydrogen they evidence degradation that is difficult to measure and age failure may be measured in decades rather than years. I am confident that problems related to vibration and road stresses will be overcome. -- Rickmas
