amein...risk is in the eye of the beholder... i'm a consummate buy and hold long term investor...the enhancement of put selling in an issue that you believe is long term upward bias is extremely bullish, with minimum added risk than going long the common..."put selling" is greatly misunderstood, and is more conservative than call buying...the sell side has the inherent advantage as they can expand the time beyond initial expiration...even if the underlying drops in an extreme manner, advantage can be gained by resetting the same strike with a longer expiration, it's a cash cow which is continually reducing your cost basis...should you be a bit more daring, use the premiums to go long the underlying...do this with leaps, like sowing seeds, and seeing the results of the harvest in about twenty months....if you like profit, the sell side of any options transaction assures same!...good luck, ed a.
