Yes, I admit it, I WAS short on vrty, but I have repented from my evil ways (say hallelujah, brothers and sisters) and I am NOW proud to say that I too am long on vrty ;-)
But seriously folks, I agree that vrty will announce something big. I'm just not sure when. My (straight from the hip) guess is that it will be a partnering agreement with Microsoft, who now uses Fulcrum. I think Fulcrum is headed for the dumper and I think Gates will help them get there. I believe Phillipe had something up his sleeve when he orchestrated the CongiSoft deal (which is starting to sound more like vaporware). Remember, he got several (was it 4 or 5?) ex-Microsoft executives in the deal. He also (as you know) is very tightly entwined with Netscape. There have also been deals with Oracle, et al. He seems to be posturing them for something. Wonder how Netscape would react to a potential Verity/Microsoft arrangement. Just some healthy speculation. Opinions?
BTW, Paul, I understand where you are coming from and I sincerely hope you continue to post here. We need all the viewpoints we can get to sort through this mess.
