And hey, what is the big deal even if China does spy on US?

I have no problem with it (except when they actually succeed.. :0). I've known lots of people who make a living outta catching spies, and they like the job security.. <VBG>

The French and Israelis have had, by far, the most aggressive espionage networks in the US, IMO. But because they are democracies, we call that competitive intelligence .. :0)

Then again, we read everyone's electronic communications and read their newspaper headlines from 150+ miles away.

Why?? Because we can.

My point merely was that if saner minds reflect upon the situation a bit more, they will realize that everyone loses if China and the US decide to continue heating up the rancor and rhetoric.
