I think a better question is: What features are being compared between digital music players to differentiate between them?

Compression Algorithms
Watermarking/Encryption
Storage Capacity
Weight
Size
Power Requirement
DSP
Multiple Format Capability
Already an excepted standard
First to the market

But nobody else is using the word operating system other than EDIG and its shareholders.

Most articles describe EDIG as a engineer firm that is designing the Lucent player. Few if any are saying Lucent commissioned EDIG to incorporate it MicroOS.

If Microsoft cannot wait another year then neither can those other digital music player manufactures. As far as I know they are not switching over.

Remember how fast EDIG put IBM on its Web site after it became a member of an IBM initiated organization. I would imagine that if EDIG had everybody lining up to change over before the end of this year then those names would be on the Web site also. JMHO
