Look at Wind River Systems (WIND). They are the leading developer of operating systems for embedded applications. They run in most cell phones, printers, etc. and are also used in anti-lock brakes and military control systems. They have recently been hit hard by threats of Microsoft entry into their markets though technical experts say there is no way MSFT can overcome WINDs lead in some areas. They also made a decision to delay a product release in order to make it more customer friendly as well as to purchase the company they were jointly developing it with. They also have relationships with NCI who just announced a joint agreement with AOL to do net TV. They are currently trading at a PE around 24 and are in an industry that is projected to grow at 35% per year. They have met or exceeded analyst earning expectations for about 20 straight quarters but may not make this one because they are delaying the product shipment as mentioned above though the CEO said they would make their annual projections regardless.
