Cybersurf to Launch Television Advertising Campaign for
3auction
CALGARY, Alberta--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 11, 1999--Cybersurf (ASE:CY.) has developed a television commercial
promoting its online auction service, 3auction. The objective of this campaign is to drive traffic to 3auction.com, and to
promote general awareness of the 3web Network. Advertisements will begin playing in Calgary on Monday, May 10. The
3auction commercial was developed for national release, and will be served to other metropolitan areas as 3web expands
into them.
3auction is Cybersurf's new online auction and classified ad service, and is part of the next wave of value-added services
being offered by the 3web Network. 3auction is available to anyone on the Internet by visiting www.3auction.com, but most
of the user traffic currently comes from 3web itself, where it is being advertised and as such receives much more exposure.
The 3auction will directly compete with similar online auctions such as Ebay and Bid.com.
3auction features a wide variety of goods and services, and caters to both buyers and sellers. Some of the categories include
antiques and collectibles, tools, furniture, books, vehicles, sporting goods, computers and electronics, software and home
improvement. Other areas within 3auction include classified ads, a chat area, and a live auction viewing location. All items
