Correct me if I am wrong, but isn't debate about NATO debacle making civil war a lot more brutal and a lot more bloodier for albanians and serbs alike?

goldsnow,

That's not what they said in Bosnia back in 1995 when NATO airstrikes against Bosnian Serb positions FINALLY brought a semblance of peace to that region and stopped the Serbian attempts to kill anyone who wasn't Eastern Orthodox. (These were the same Serbs who had lived together with their Muslim counterparts for decades under Tito).

Milosevic and his party have been guilty of dreadful oppression against Kosovo for years. Lest you have a short memory, it was just bare 13 months ago when the US and Europe were leading efforts against the Serbs to permit 250,000 displaced Kosovars to return to their homes from their mountainside refugee camps.

Where was China in all of this?? Where was Moscow?

Milosevic was planning on ethnically cleansing Kosovo anyway. It was only a matter of when and what kind of price he would pay. (Does anyone doubt the reality of this??)

Regards,

Ron
