I tried to generate a N/A and then insert it into an equation:
if(dayofweek()=1,ValueWhen(1,1<0,1),C)
Nothing came out in display of the indicator, for any bar.

Using 0 instead of N/A is a good strategy - but the occasional 0 shows up as a sawtooth effect if you use a "line" style to display your custom indicator. To avoid this, consider using 0, but use "dots" as display style. You can increase the weighting to make dots heavier. BTW this approach works nicely when plotting Parabolic SAR.
