Customers who like their current distributor will in all likelihood not change. What does change is where those distributors go for product, and what happens to their margins. Since more than 80% of CPQ's channel product already went through the 4 selected partners, the impact is not as great as you think.

The current turmoil is less confusing than the last 6 months of EP's tenure, at least to me. While I agree that CPQ will not be "safe" until more of the new program gets implemented, I also think that the stock will be in the 30's by that time. So someone who likes CPQ's long term prospects would probably do better to add sooner rather than later.
