Therefore, we are in the midst of negotiating what will likely be a US deal first, with a major multinational. We are very confident that we will have an announcement out before the end of our fiscal year, which is May 31. We have been in negotiations with one very big company for some time, we think we have just about everything signed up and ready to go, so we will announce the deal very shortly.

They've probably (both parties) had a deal in substance for some
time; but, could not 'sign' until all substantive issues were
resolved or materially resolved.
This means the accountants have issues, the lawyers have issues,
the tax specialists have issues, the boards of each firm have
issues, and around and around it goes in ever tighter circles.
It's pretty early in the game that you can 'see' that the
two parties will in the end come to an agreement. From there
to final form contract is a million increasingly detailed
steps - but after the second period of the game - all the big
players know whether they're going to end up going down the
aisle together or not.
Where I work, we just recently tied up another multi billion
dollar deal. The players change; but, the music is always
the same. If some issues are still on the table; but, one
party has public committments, the big boys have breakfast
and move things along. Who ever this is (J&J) will help
