This is the silliest conspiracy stuff I've read in a long time. Care to explain just how the price is being manipulated? In particular, care to explain this given the anemic volume? Keeping the price down absolutely requires massive selling, but instead you see the volume at about half normal levels.

Remember too, that you are dealing with a specialist situation, not market makers. That means that the shares must actually change hands -- no bogus trades between market makers. So for all you conspiracy buffs, show me how they keep the price down.

And if they wanted their favorite fat cats into the stock it would have happened a couple of weeks ago.

Here's my theory: the momentum guys haven't seen the up moves that will get them excited. As soon as we've had a couple of nice up days the momo guys will be in in force, and then watch the price skyrocket.
BTW, I've been in this stock for a couple of years, and the IPO is one of the best things that can happen to BKS because it will increase BKS profitability by eliminating a cost center while at the same time stimulating demand for wholesale books through Ingram.
