Lets just look at one set of facts regarding the "Big Worry" over T and msft...
Both have been extremely successful businesses in their respective fields long before AOL offered internet access...
T and MSFT have tried very hard to be a player in the isp market as long as aol has...we all have heard of MSN and Worldnet...
Here are the numbers you decide who needs to be afraid of who.
Combine all of the customers of MSN and Worldnet together and multiply it by 5 and you are beginning to approach the numbers that AOL has...
These guys are playing catch-up and their strategy is to buy cable access......Almost %60 of AOL customers connect at 28.8 or slower....They aren't attracted by the speed, it's what is there and who is there.
As long as AOL stays on the ball, this factor isn't going to change.
The "Big Worry" will look very silly in 6 months and 6 years.
