Sorry, Cheeky

I'm just plain contrary. I have to learn by getting beat over the head and as you might guess it happens frequently.

This last episode was indeed caused by a virus -- the one called "Windows".

One day when I get tired of fooling with this stuff or if I have a major data-loss catastrophe I'll break down and get that virus stuff. For now it's just me and the 'puter.

Note also, that a lot of this stuff is recoverable. Bios's can be flashed and erased drives can be restored. I posted an article about someone that has a "cure" for the CIH virus.

I guess most people just want to get some use out of their systems. I'm just as interested in learning about them. Not that my way is the best way to learn, but to each his own.
