Zeev,

My thoughts on todays possible developments:

1. IBM is a licensee but has not been a staunch supporter of RDRAM-- they have had press releases about SDRAM and their own forthcoming DRAM architecture.
2. They pursue the N64 chip business. IBM tells Nintendo, "We love you and want to supply your new chip!" Nintendo says, "we will only love you if the new chip incorporates RDRAM"
3. IBM thinks hard and they say, "Da@#, better just throw in the towel on SDRAM, etc. and focus on RDRAM in order to secure N64 business"
4. IBM is now a staunch supporter of RDRAM because as long as they need to incorporate RDRAM in Power PC chip for N64, IBM might as well work it into their whole platform.
5. This "official" news has not hit yet, but the fundies and analysts get a whiff before us low lifes and they start buying.
5. Thus todays big run up.

Makes sense to me, may not be exactly right, but it might go something like that!

Any thoughts?
