Every time I think it has gotten worse things get better. Here in Arkansas a tornado wiped out 600 houses last weekend. Several agencies, radio stations, tv stations etc set up donation trucks. They got so many clothes and stuff, they had to get more trucks. Its just too bad that most media outlets let these little things that make you feel good about humanity go unreported.

Another example:

I am in the Air Force. When we were airdropping the relief supplies to the Bosnian refugees one of the flyers would bring in a couple of stuffed animals and tie them to the bundles. Word got out and before too long we were deluged with donations of stuffed animals, kids clothes, games. I'm talking 18 wheelers bringing the stuff on the base.

So don't lose sight of all the good still going on around us.
