Voltaire,

More on today's market downward head fake. This outfit is behind the primary TA tool I'm using(Omnitrader) and I give it alot of credit for turning me on to AOL several months ago while prospecting. They also mention that their premium service predicted the latest AOL run up- might have to give the service it a whirl someday<g>.

"This kind of "head fake" followed by a strong pull-back tells me the market is not fearful. If it were, selling would have ensued on the initial drop after an intraday consolidation. Since it recovered quickly, there is likely to be overall, latent buying pressure - folks want in.

Now, I would expect the market to go sideways. In fact, a trading range in the 10,750 to 11,100 zone is quite possible. If that happens over the next several weeks, we are very likely in for another big rise to higher levels."
