We have the PLAY OF The Day Winner

today's winner is Nick for the following post--( this is the winner as
it provides some cogent links to the Y2K problem, and while this is not a humorous play of the day..any Mythster who investigates this topic will be smacked in the face with the catalyst for the 40-50% mkt
decline that many Mythsters feel might be coming to the mkt.)

~~Thanks for posting the TX story. It's definitely gonna get interesting come January.

Lots of good stuff at #Subject-16203 if your interested in y2k...

Here's another doozie re: oil pipelines

#reply-9376450
I hope to hell it does work. We built a good line. We just didn't consider y2k.
Remember too that the Alaskan pipeline, while far more famous, is only 752
miles long, has similar potential problems, but much colder weather.

If either of these lines go down, the impact on our oil supply will be dramatic.
After they cool and solidify (72 hrs generally, but that varies), they cannot
be restarted, ever again. They must be rebuilt.~~
