>>Denial..ain't just a river in Egypt...
It's also clearly evident here in Iomegaland.
PCMall clearly states that Parallel ORB is outselling everything else in its inventory, including Zip and Jaz. It is understandable that this would come as a shock to those Iomaniacs who have brainwashed themselves into thinking that Iomega was invincible.
Clearly, the market is ready to adopt another "standard."<<
I hate to burst your bubble, but PC Mall is only one outlet. The fact is that Orb is still shipping only in limited numbers. Just do a search for Orb on pricewatch.com. You'll find exactly one page of entries, and many of the entries have dates a few weeks old. Now do a search on Zip or Jaz, and see what you find. (By the way, a search for Clik! turns up about the same number of entries as Orb.)
Zip is selling nearly a million drive units per month, and more than five million disks. I don't think you can even find real numbers for Orb yet.

PS: I just spent 37 days in The Bahamas working on a large project for a Fortune 25 company, working 12 hour days, including weekends much of the time. I didn't post much, but I was checking out the thread from time to time, and I must say that although you claim no one is interested in Iomega anymore, it's very clear that your obsession with the company and the stock is unabated. You must be absolutely fascinated with Iomega, to judge by the number of your posts.
I notice we haven't yet seen the price move into the threes and lower, like you've been predicting it would for several months now. That must be awfully frustrating for you. Almost as frustrating as waiting for that SCSI Orb. |
