Fortunately and unfortunately, there are a number of choices out there. Many of these are evolving into omniscient medical information providers. Some started as physician oriented, others patient/layman/consumer oriented, but all are trying to inhale a major piece of the med-info pie, as quickly as possible. And again, many are planning to play both sides of the equation regardless of their initial orientation.
What does this portend for AHS? Competition, obviously. Hopefully the biosensors niche and other parts of the business plan will provide an interactivity that other sites can't match. This results in your site becoming a de facto internet portal for the health-concious population and the ill population benefiting from your services, site stickiness, and other factors required for a profitable web presence. There's also the liklihood of Stayhealthy synergistically incorporating other businesses into their site. STAY's strongest point to me is management, anything I can think of is already in the works or under consideration.
Good luck to all. BTW, now that I know when the party is, where is it? A Carribean island, a European resort, or Eric's house? <gg> |
