A truly outstanding day, Greg, and appreciate your comments on stocks.Today Awre was important. IMO Haunting the Dell thread ( and stealing ideas (G))is the best a person can do for financial success in equities. No gold, no bonds, no airlines, no oils, no drug companies are required. (bonds may come later) Just an assortment of major players in the tech field. Considering only today, for example, there was the $1 bil IBM deal with Nintendo, and a note that Swatch sold 250,000 watches in one month. Now any true businessman with a jewelry store, whether in Germany or US, or Asia, is going to be entranced by that story and be inclined to get on line. Combined with the growing number of on-line transactions by brokers, and the book sales, and the many other uses of the Web and the Web and their builders are going to FLY, Man, FLY, YAHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO, Its UP UP and AWAYYYYYYYYYYYYEEEEE. (sorry about that) But I still enjoy Wall Street Week and their class act which exerts a calming influence on the markets as a whole and puts happenings in perspective. For example, I would expect a few choise ( and calming)remarks about Mr.Rubin's retirement. Might consider a Janus fund when tired of playing games every day. Regards ( Yeah I know, left out the satellite cos, the cable cos) Sig |
