when you say you have your PC running all the time do you mean 24 hours a day? - i use both a Sun Ultra and a Dell PC and the PC at home often has to be rebooted several times a day and i dont leave it on all the time - if I do it wont last 48 hours without a reboot - applications start acting funny and i inevitably get the BSOD. The Dell PC has been fairly reliable over 3 years - hasnt had any hw problems, but the components are mostly made by Sony, Western Digital, etc.

there's a command called uptime on my sparc station - currently it says over 158 days - i come in my office and work - not function as a Microsoft certified engineer for my wonderful, high quality Microsoft products.
