I wont respond further to this particular strain. Quit speculating and let us know
1. What is the exact amount (on cost or sales) of the royalty to be paid to Intel
2. How will this affect AMD's margins.
3. What is the ballpark expected figures from an independant source (not AMD who does exaggerate a teeny weeny bit) of expected sales.
4. The clock speed at which K6 is going to be released and any
benchmark results (On looking at the system design, I am sceptical as to wether it will perform even equivalent to the same speed pentium.)
5. Based on the above benchmarks what is the price/performance ratio of a K6 PC when compared to an equivalent clock speed Pentium II. (Processor cost is not a significant % when it comes to the cost of an overall system)
7. What % of the production resources OEM's are will to use to deploy K6 based systems.
6. Any survey results of what premium buyers are willing to pay for an Intel labeled Pentium system.

When you have all of these facts, come back and we'll talk. If not there is an Intel vs AMD thread to act out your frustrations.

regards
Athony
