Scott, thanks for the Bloomberg note re: TSMC & NSM. Perhaps TSM made their original statement about not wanting the fab to get better terms on the purchase. Only time will tell.

With TSM's help, NSM might actually get their next-gen CPUs out of the lab and into the marketplace. But that doesn't change the fact that NSM would have been wiser to pen a deal before the announcement (when a buyer knows that a seller is under pressure to unload, it is to his advantage.)

I have no NSM at the moment (long or short) but I am long TSMC -- so this is good news in my view. TSM could use the extra capacity and sales while NSM could sure use a 0.18u CPU. Win-win if the deal comes to fruition. If not ... I will still have my TSMC shares :-)
