Ray, worry not: a few days ago I dumped about 20% of my intc holdings at 148, and today I made a quick profit by selling a call contract on 100 of my shares when intel was peaking for the day, and buying back the same contract for much less at the close of the session. So I am well aware of the downside risks, and, I believe I'm milking them for all they're worth. In fact, today was the first time I've ever written an option (normally I buy them), and I must say that it really is the way to make real money -- the "hot potato" aspect of it, as well as the tendency of the market to converge to strike prices around expiration time, both make it much easier than buying options.

But short intel? No way. As I've already posted, S&P says fair valuation on intc is 207.5. They might be wrong as to magnitude, but I certainly wouldn't short it if they think it's got another sixty points to go up.
