DELL leads the way. This MD's answer to arrogant CPQ salesmen May 12, 1999 (Tech Web - CMP via COMTEX) -- In his keynote address at the Networld + Interop show, chairman and CEO Michael Dell demonstrated the next generation of Dell's Premier Pages, which are custom sites that serve large commercial accounts. The enhancements, now live and called Premier Commerce, include a dynamic pricing system that takes contract negotiations online. All Dell product lines can now be ordered using a single purchase order, and the Premier Pages offer "build-your-own" price quotes based on a customer's volume pricing agreement with Dell. Corporate buyers can also view each outstanding order generated by their companies, give approval, and submit the order to Dell.
