I don't know what they're going to do about this domain name thing, but they should do something fast.

IMO the two things AcuBid.com had going for them were their ticker symbol and the celebirty board members. Now it appears the ticker symbol may actually generate attention away to a competing site.

They hope to launch the site by July 1, and considering they don't have the cash to advertise, I'm curiuos about how they'll generate attention to the site. The PR's with the baseball palyers are good, but they haven't really done much for the price of the stock, and I doubt many folks other than fans will go to the site based on those announcements. The PRs hit all the major wire services, but I haven't been surprised to find no mention of AcuBid.com in any print publications.

I was hoping the EBID symbol would at least generate some enthusiasm among investors who would use the site, but now it looks like many of them may go to ebid.com instead of acubid.com.

BTW - does anyone know anything about ebid.com? Is it traded publicly? Are they planning an IPO? If ebid.com came on the Nasdaq they would have priority to take the symbol name away from acubid.com because its on the OTC:BB. Ebid.com sure got their site up and running fast.

Here's one idea - abid.com (previously Fran's Market) appears to be closed. Maybe they could get that site, and the ticker symbol ABID, which is still available?
