Book values say very little... One big item that often gives way to write off is Mineral Properties (or Defered Exploration Expenses..or whatever they call it). This must always be examined carefully. What is not always reflected in this asset is the value (mineability) of the properties. I haven't check Vista... so I can't comment. Current prices is probably closer to reality...but the market is not always right. That is why both companies have hired their consultants... to come up with independant evaluation on their respective assets.
