Stew, regarding GMST:

It is my opinion that such a 'merger' would need to be another hostile one and if attempted there will be significant antitrust concerns as previously expressed in the United Video failed endeavor. Gemstar has a neutral licensing policy and beyond antitrust issues certain business considerations such as that with Deutsche Telekom and its 17+ million households may be affected by such a move

Any comments regarding MSFT's potential investment in Deutsche Telekom and the potential outcome and its impact on a consolidation move with GMST. By the way, I do not agree that GMST's interface will have the market impact that this Board seems to believe in. People are creatures of habit, and once viewing/consumer patterns become established their interface loses substantial value.
